such web sites. HOWEVER, if you find an instance where something
inappropriate appears on one of these sites, please contact
us and report the problem. We will remove the link if we also
find it to be inappropriate. Tourism Victoria County only lists the free
content information of web sites. We are not responsible for
any loss or anything that occurs.
Personal Identification Information:
If you identify yourself to us by sending us an e-mail with
questions or comments, we may use your personal information
to respond to your questions or comments. We may file your comments
for future reference, or we may discard the information after
we have reviewed it. For example, we may send you e-mails to
introduce a product or service that we believe might be of interest
to the member based on his/her request for this information
by category.
Security, Fraud, and Abuse:
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss,
misuse, and alteration of the information under control. Tourism Victoria County
regularly reviews these measures to better protect you. Occasionally,
information may be provided to Tourism Victoria County fraudulently or by
an individual unauthorized to provide such information. When
Tourism Victoria County is notified of suspected fraud or abuse, we take
steps to resolve the problem immediately.
E-mail Newsletters:
If users wish to subscribe to our e-mail newsletters, we ask
for contact information (such as name, e-mail address and, occasionally,
demographic information). We use this information in the same
manner as we use contact information in the registration and
ordering process described above. Recipients of our newsletters
can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of
the e-mail newsletter.
Communications with Us:
We have features where our customers can submit information
to us (such as our feedback forms). Where such submissions include
requests for service, support or information, we may forward
them to our agents, as needed, to best respond to the specific
request. In addition, we may retain e-mails and other information
sent to us for our internal administrative purposes, and to
help us to serve customers better. Please note that letters
to the editor and similar submissions may be made public.
Automatic Data Collection:
For our internal purposes, we gather date, time, browser type,
navigation history and IP address of all visitors to our web
sites. This information does not contain anything that can identify
users personally. We use this information for our internal security
audit log, trend analysis and system administration, and to
gather broad demographic information about our user base for
aggregate use.
We may combine demographic information supplied by a customer
at registration with web site usage data to provide general
profiles, in aggregate non-personally identifiable form, about
our customers and their preferences in the content of the site
and advertising. We may share this composite information with
our advertisers and business affiliates to help them better
understand our services.
Children:
Tourism Victoria County does not knowingly accept any information
from children under the age of 13. Children's safety is important
to us. Children age 13 and under should ask their parents for
permission before filling out any online forms. Tourism Victoria
County encourages parents to spend time online with their children
and to become familiar with our site. Children should never
reveal their addresses, phone numbers or any other personal
